ESOL is a class that will help improve your abilities with reading, writing, and speaking in English. Our focus is to become more comfortable using the English language and to develop academic and conversational fluency. We will work on these objectives through 8th grade language arts curriculum.

Current Unit of StudyWe are currently learning and creating different forms of poetry, including Haikus, Limericks, Ballads, Couplets, Quatrains, and Free Verse. We are also developing our understanding of rhythm and meter.
Reading LogDon't forget to bring your reading log to class by Tuesday! Make sure you read at least 500 minutes for a C!
Current Unit of StudyWe are currently developing our understanding of idioms, puns, and oxymorons. Students are working on creating their own examples and illustrating. We are planning on quizzing these concepts on Thursday, October 29th.
